The DOGE ticker collision
After reading this, you should be able to use the collision list to refuse a ticker as an identity.
Published 2026-10-12. Substantive review 2026-10-12. Figures are the observation time.
What the list is
The table under the observation is every other row in this file with the symbol DOGE, at the file time. It will change. A meme name is cheap to reuse. Rank, chain and address are the identity. The symbol is a label someone chose.
Dogecoin is the extreme case because the asset people mean has no address in this file at all. The copies and pegs are the rows that look more ‘on-chain’ in a token scanner. A scanner that requires a contract will describe the peg in detail and go quiet on the coin. That is a property of the tool.
What not to conclude
A long collision list is not proof that any particular row is a scam. It is proof that the ticker is not a primary key. The native coin’s history, from a 2013 joke to a network that is still issuing coins, is not established by outranking the peg.
